Few prominent professional athletes have been as vocal as Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James when it comes to politics and the White House.

On Wednesday, the inauguration took place in Washington D.C., with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris assuming their new roles as president and vice president of the United States.

James took to Instagram with a powerful two-word message to commemorate this day.

James was one of the many NBA players that advocated for change this past year, urging fans to get out and vote.

Donald Trump and James have publicly criticized one another throughout the process, with the four-time NBA champion not holding back his critical comments in press conferences.

The Lakers superstar is likely riding high today as the post-Trump era gets underway in this country.
