LeBron James and Anthony Davis Get Voted Best Superstar Duo by Long Shot

After the Los Angeles Lakers acquired LeBron James last summer, it was clear that the process of building a championship team around him would be at least a two-year process.

This summer, the Lakers traded for fellow All-Star Anthony Davis, and they now possess not just the superstar duo they were hoping for a year ago, but arguably the best one in basketball as a poll showed that the fans rated James and Davis as the best tandem in the league.

In fact, by receiving 48 percent of all votes cast, they far outpaced the second-place duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, who only got 16 percent of the votes.

The rest of the poll was a bit of a surprise, as the Dallas Mavericks duo of Kristaps Porzingis and reigning NBA Rookie of the Year Luka Doncic finished ahead of the Houston Rockets’ new tandem of Russell Westbrook and James Harden.

Unlike most of the other duos in this poll, it appears that James and Davis will complement each other very well. James is essentially a 6-foot-8 point guard, while Davis is a big man who can do a little bit of everything, but is at his best when running the floor and catching lobs at or near the basket.
