LaVar Ball Says New Orleans Pelicans Were Primed to Beat Los Angeles Lakers in Playoffs

It appears LaVar Ball is still upset that the Los Angeles Lakers traded his son, Lonzo, last summer.

The outspoken father recently told Complex Sports that the New Orleans Pelicans were primed to defeat the Lakers in the NBA playoffs.

Currently, the Lakers sit atop the Western Conference standings while the Pelicans sit in 10th place.

The novel coronavirus forced the NBA to suspend the 2019-20 season in March. If the league decided to resume the season with just the teams in playoff position, the Pelicans wouldn’t even get the opportunity to battle against the Lakers in the postseason.

However, if the Pelicans somehow made the playoffs, the regular season series between both parties shows no evidence that New Orleans would stand a chance against the Lakers.

As a matter of fact, the Lakers swept the four-game season series with the Pelicans.

Although rookie sensation Zion Williamson didn’t play in the first two contests, the Lakers won the two games that included the remarkable talent.

There is no official timetable for when the 2019-20 season will resume.
