Los Angeles Lakers superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis are one of the most unstoppable pairs in the NBA.
However, LaVar Ball recently told Complex Sports that he doesn’t believe the dynamic duo will last in Los Angeles.
Ball, who is the father of former Lakers guard Lonzo Ball, has been critical of the franchise since it dealt his son.
As a matter of fact, the younger Ball was one of the main pieces in a package that allowed the Lakers to land Davis.
Last summer, the Lakers traded Davis to the New Orleans Pelicans for the younger Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and several draft picks. While the Pelicans didn’t want to initially trade Davis, it appears the deal has been a win-win for both parties so far.
In Los Angeles, Davis has thrived next to James. He is posting 26.7 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game this season.
James, 35, is also having a superb 2019-20 campaign. The four-time MVP is averaging 25.7 points, 10.6 assists and 7.9 boards per game this year.
As a result of both All-Stars’ dominance, the Lakers currently hold the best record in the Western Conference.
Davis is eligible to become a free agent this summer.
