Los Angeles Lakers big man JaVale McGee was the victim of a home robbery on Saturday, per TMZ Sports.

According to the report, the thieves stole items of both monetary and nostalgic value to the veteran center.

“We’re told the thieves stole TWO safes from the home which contained at least $200k in cash and jewelry — including one of the two rings McGee won during his stint with the Golden State Warriors,” the report read. “Unclear which ring was taken.

“McGee is also missing the celebratory goggles he used in the locker room for the champagne celebration after winning one of those titles.”

Per the report, local police are still reviewing surveillance video of the incident, but have yet to identify any suspects or make any arrests.

Back in July, McGee signed a two-year, $8.2 million deal with the Lakers. While he is likely facing few financial hardships as a result of this crime, there is no doubt that he will hope to find both his stolen items, and the perpetrators who broke into his home.

Hopefully, those who committed this crime are brought to justice soon. Until then, McGee may want to consider bolstering his home’s security system.
