Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Chandler Jones’ X account made some cryptic posts and accused team owner Mark Davis of purposefully hiding the identity of the person who reportedly molested his goddaughter. Jones later blamed a hacker for the disturbing posts but didn’t play at all in the team’s 38-10 loss against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
The 6-foot-5 defensive end recently revealed a conversation that he had with Los Angeles Lakers superstar forward LeBron James on Instagram.
This all seemed to stem from a situation earlier this month where Jones was not able to get into the team’s facility.
James, 38, was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft. He has played for three teams — the Lakers, Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers — across his 20 seasons in the NBA. James averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game in 55 appearances with the storied Lakers franchise during the 2022-23 regular season (54 starts).
The 38-year-old boasts one of the most impressive resumes in league history. He is a 19-time All-Star, 19-time All-NBA selection, four-time MVP, three-time All-Star MVP and a member of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team.
But most importantly, James has led his teams to four titles over the course of his pro career in 2012, 2013, 2016 and 2020. His first two titles came as a member of the Heat when he was playing alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. The Heat beat Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder in five games in the 2012 NBA Finals and Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs in seven games in the 2013 NBA Finals.
Arguably James’ most impressive title came in 2016 when he was a member of the Cavaliers. The Cavaliers rallied all the way back from a 3-1 deficit in the 2016 NBA Finals against Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors to win the series in seven games.
His most recent title came at the dawn of the decade in 2020. James and star big man Anthony Davis led the Lakers to an NBA Finals victory over Jimmy Butler and the Heat. James averaged 29.8 points per game on 59.1 percent shooting from the field during the championship series.
