Lakers News: Alex Caruso Leaves Warriors Game With Injury

The Los Angeles Lakers may be without a key contributor off the bench when they begin the regular season on Oct. 22 against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Guard Alex Caruso left their game on Friday against the Golden State Warriors due to an apparent bone contusion in his pelvis.

Caruso appeared to have suffered the injury during the first quarter of the game at Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif. He hit his only shot from the field and tallied two assists before leaving the game.

With the Lakers dealing with a rash of injuries, Caruso was thrust into the rotation late last season and won the hearts of fans by averaging 12.4 points and 4.2 assists per game while shooting 46.9 percent from 3-point range in their last 18 games.

But the undrafted guard has had a disappointing preseason. He put up 10 points and six assists in their preseason opener, but other than that has failed to show the impressive play he displayed last season.
