Video: Kyrie Irving Trolls LeBron James During Lakers-Nets Game

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving share a rocky history.

While the two won a championship together as members of the Cleveland Cavaliers back in 2016, Irving later demanded a trade out of Cleveland. At the time, many thought that his relationship with James played a major role in his desire to play elsewhere.

Given that history, it was quite interesting to see Irving clearly troll James when the two faced off in Brooklyn on Thursday night.

James did not respond to Irving’s sarcastic cheering, but the look on his face indicated that he was quite annoyed by his former teammate.

This past summer, there were rumors that linked Irving to the Lakers.

In the end, Irving decided to join forces with Kevin Durant in Brooklyn, despite the fact that Durant will be out for the entirety of the 2019-20 season due to a serious Achilles injury.

While the Nets are fighting for a playoff spot this season, they’ll likely be major contenders next year if Durant can return to form.

If that comes to pass, it’s quite possible that James and Irving could meet in the 2021 NBA Finals.
