Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma may be out of the active lineup with an injury, but he still seems optimistic about the upcoming NBA season.
After Anthony Davis made his preseason debut Saturday at brand new Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif. with 22 points and 10 rebounds, Kuzma took to Twitter to show his approval of his new teammate’s performance.
Kuzma initially suffered what was thought to be an ankle injury during an exhibition game with Team USA in August prior to the FIBA World Cup.
In September, upon further examination, it was determined that he had a stress reaction in his left foot, which will apparently keep him out for the entire preseason schedule.
However, Kuzma may still be available to play in the Lakers’ regular-season opener on Oct. 22 against the Los Angeles Clippers.
He’s still been in the news lately, as he signed a five-year endorsement deal with the sneaker company Puma. He will reportedly become the face of the company.
Last season, Kuzma averaged 18.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game for the Lakers.
