Jimmy Butler is one of the toughest players in the NBA, and he certainly is not afraid to speak his mind.
During a recent interview, Butler gave props to the Los Angeles Lakers and the superstar duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The Lakers have the best record in the league early in the 2019-20 season, and it’s due in large part to the chemistry that James and Davis have shown on and off the court.
The interview was focused mainly on picking Butler’s brain on which teams and players he considers unstoppable. Davis, James and the Lakers as a whole all made Butler’s list.
When asked which team he thought was the most unstoppable in the league right now, the Miami Heat forward acknowledged that it’s the Purple and Gold.
“The Lakers right now because they got LeBron, they got A.D., Dwight [Howard],” Butler responded. “They got a lot of great role players that can guard, that can shoot.”
Later, Butler shared his thoughts on the most unstoppable duo in the league.
“You gotta go with LeBron and AD,” Butler said. “I’m giving the Lakers a lot of love right now, but it’s just real, it’s true. Name it, they can do it.”
With a 15-2 record, the Lakers sit atop the NBA standings and are currently on an eight-game winning streak. James and Davis are considered by many to be among the top candidates for MVP and Defensive Player of the Year, respectively.
If the Lakers continue their dominance over the league for the rest of the season, many will certainly join Butler in admitting that the Lakers are the most unstoppable team with the most unstoppable duo.
