Video: Jack Black Hilariously Roasts Kawhi Leonard for Choosing Clippers Over Lakers

Hollywood actor Jack Black hilariously ripped Kawhi Leonard for choosing the wrong Los Angeles team in free agency.

Leonard picked the Los Angeles Clippers over the Los Angeles Lakers and now he has to face the wrath of the talented 49-year-old comedian.

Black voiced out the frustrations of Lakers fans around the world after Leonard spurned the Purple and Gold. He could have teamed up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis to create a superteam for the ages.

“Remember where you heard it here first,” Black said in the video. “Kawhi Leonard, hoowee! Won the championship, [Finals] MVP, and now he’s in Los Angeles. Wrong team though, dude! Why don’t you come to the Lakers? The three-headed hydra? You would’ve won a four-peat! Duh! Come on, man!

“It’s exciting, though. It’s good to be alive during the epic head-to-head battle of Lakers-Clippers. LeBron-Kawhi. The battle will be bloodthirsty. Who will emerge victorious? LeBron will, of course! I’m changing gears now, Kawhi! F— you. You’re going down!”

The clip is a brief one and is part of Black’s “Broken Wrists & Old Friends” video from his JablinskiGames YouTube channel. Black, of course, can easily get away with roasting Leonard the way he did since he said it with his classic comedic tone.

Many experts and fans believe that the Lakers would have been the overwhelming favorites to win the 2020 championship if the two-time Finals MVP had decided to sign with the Lakers this offseason.

By choosing the Clippers to partner with 2018-19 MVP candidate Paul George, Leonard essentially made the race to the title much more interesting with a handful of teams having a good shot at nabbing the Larry O’Brien trophy.
