Point guard Isaiah Thomas recently took to social media to heap major praise on Los Angeles Lakers guard Avery Bradley.
After the Lakers’ official Twitter page shouted out Bradley, Thomas chimed in to say that Bradley is the best defender in the entire NBA.
Bradley and Thomas played together on the Boston Celtics for a number of seasons. Their shared history probably plays a large role in why Thomas thinks so highly of the Lakers vet.
In his first year in Los Angeles, Bradley has started in 44 of his 49 appearances. He’s averaging 8.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
However, Bradley’s contributions are not always seen in the box score.
Bradley is one of the league’s better perimeter defenders and has managed to lock down some of the league’s best guards throughout the season.
With the NBA currently on pause due to the novel coronavirus, Bradley hasn’t been able to show off his defensive acumen in a nearly a month’s time.
Hopefully, the league is able to return to normal in the coming months so that Bradley can continue playing a large part in the Lakers’ title push.
