Chinese Fans Absolutely Lose Their S— as LeBron James Enters Mall in China

LeBron James’ popularity around the world knows no bounds. James entered a mall in China on Thursday with fans going crazy at the sight of the Los Angeles Lakers forward.

Despite the unrest that has unfolded recently between the NBA and the Chinese government, James was greeted with cheers and chants from his adoring fans in the country.

The sight is refreshing to both the NBA and fans worldwide knowing how tense the past couple of days have been.

Controversy has rocked the league after Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey expressed his support of Hong Kong pro-democracy protesters via Twitter, angering Chinese officials. This has resulted in banners and signs for the NBA being taken down off of buildings.

The Lakers are scheduled to play the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday morning, a game that was in jeopardy of being canceled due to the tense situation. Recent reports, however, say that the game will push through, though the NBA or Chinese government may still pull the plug at the last minute.
