DeMarcus Cousins Sends Message to Fans Comparing Michael Jordan and LeBron James

Ever since “The Last Dance” series on the Chicago Bulls’ 1997-98 season has came out, comparisons surrounding Michael Jordan and LeBron James have become increasingly pugnacious.

However, big man DeMarcus Cousins is tired of the debates. The former Los Angeles Lakers center sent a simple, yet strong, message to fans who aren’t appreciating the documentary for what it is.

Cousins, 29, was waived by the Lakers earlier this season so the team could sign free agent Markieff Morris.

While there was optimism Cousins would have a resurgent campaign with the Lakers before the season started, the former All-Star sadly tore his ACL last August. Yet, he stuck with the Lakers for the duration of the 2019-20 season until he got cut in February.

The University of Kentucky had the privilege of watching James up close on a nightly basis.

Now, the four-time MVP is at the center of a renewed debate on who the greatest player of all time is.

The documentary portrays Jordan’s last season with the Bulls, a remarkable campaign that reminds people how dominant the six-time champion was in his playing days. However, fans have also used the documentary to point out that Jordan had weaker competition and better circumstances than James.

While people like Cousins are fed up with the inexorable debates, the entertaining disagreements and discussions are providing fans something to talk about with no live sports going on.

There is no official timetable for when the 2019-20 season will resume.
