Alex Caruso Likes Chemistry Between Himself and LeBron James

The success of the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2019-20 campaign is going to hinge a lot on how well the team is able to build chemistry.

That’s why it’s a great sign to hear that Lakers shooting guard Alex Caruso believes the chemistry between him and LeBron James is already growing.

Caruso spoke about that on-court connection recently.

“He makes the game so easy for me,” Caruso said. “He gets so much attention rightfully so. He’s arguably, I think he’s the best player in the world. He’s one of the best players the game has every seen and maybe the best in the game right now.

“He just makes it so easy. He’s a really heady guy. Understands the game, good IQ, and I think me and him can tag along in the same aspect of we both understand how to play and read off of each other pretty well.”

It’s not much of a surprise to hear Caruso speak so highly of James. Though James is one of the most prolific scorers in the league, he is perhaps most celebrated for his incredible court vision and passing ability. On top of that, as Caruso mentioned, James demands so much attention from opposing defenses that his teammates often enjoy taking shots unguarded.

As for Caruso, he figures to be a larger part of the Lakers’ plans going forward as he signed a two-year, $5.5 million contract earlier this summer.

If the Lakers are going to achieve their goal of winning a championship this season, it’s going to hinge on more than just James and fellow star Anthony Davis.

Players such as Caruso will have to step up and take on bigger roles.

Having a great connection with one of the league’s best players is a really good way to do just that.
