Alex Caruso: ‘[LeBron] Doesn’t Get Enough Credit for Being a Good Person’

LeBron James is one of the most beloved athletes of all time, but one of his Los Angeles Lakers teammates thinks James does not get enough credit for simply being a good person.

In a recent interview with Evan Daniels of CBS Sports, guard Alex Caruso had words of incredibly high praise for James.

“Yeah, great teammate first and foremost,” Caruso began. “Just a good person. I don’t think he gets enough credit for that. Everybody likes to analyze his basketball game so much, and there’s a lot to analyze because he’s very good, but he’s a heck of a teammate. Great person, just one of the guys.”

Throughout his NBA career, James has had his fair share of haters. Despite all that hatred, James has managed to remain a positive force throughout his entire NBA career.

It’s not just his positive attitude that has made an impact, either. James has made sure to use his fame and fortune to benefit those who are less fortunate.

Perhaps the most obvious example of that approach has been his role in the I Promise School located in James’ hometown of Akron, Ohio. The school has already gone a long way in helping at-risk youth get the support and education they need to succeed.

James’ positive energy was also on full display when Lakers legend Kobe Bryant tragically passed away earlier this year. Through his actions, James made it very clear that it was healthy to grieve the loss.

Now, with the NBA at a standstill due to the novel coronavirus, the basketball world has once again looked to James for leadership. As always, he has managed to lead through positivity and care.

Hopefully, the NBA starts back up again soon, so that Caruso and James can both get back to what they love doing most: playing basketball.
