The Anthony Davis drama has taken its latest turn, and in a Friday morning report, it was revealed that the All-Star big man is focused on the Los Angeles Lakers as his top destination.
Anthony Davis is focused on the Lakers as his top preferred destination, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @WatchStadium. The Knicks are also as a preferred landing spot, and made push to New Orleans with offer around Kristaps Porzingis before the Dallas deal.

Now that Kristaps Porzingis is no longer a member of the New York Knicks, they simply don’t have the assets to make a deal work.
That seemingly leaves the Lakers as the clear favorites to land Davis. While it seemed as though the New Orleans Pelicans front office was intent on keeping Davis out of Los Angeles, Davis making his desire to end up in Los Angeles known dramatically reduces his value for teams around the league.
While a team like the Boston Celtics may have a more attractive package for the Pelicans this summer, it is unclear if they would be willing to part ways with young talent and future picks if Davis plans to leave in the summer of 2020 when he becomes a free agent.
No matter how you look at this, this is good news for the Lakers. Whether or not they can capitalize on it remains to be seen.
